I have this exact monitor. It's great and overclockable to 270hz. I'd run it with hdr then use windows semi new hdr program to balance the colors. I did have to replace the monitor one day after about a year, and acer did a great job with warranty. It went white screen out of no where, but it works fine now.

Thanks for the info, I'll have to keep an eye on it and the bleed I heard about too.
I bought a 4K 60hz refurbished Acer monitor a few years back, and then found out it was HDMI 1.4 (4k30hz), so couldn't run consoles on it and had to run it at a low resolution as a second monitor with my computer. HDMI 2.0 can at least run 1440p 120hz with an Xbox.
No idea what you are actually buying. Looking up the exact model number on Acer says 27" screen and 4k resolution.
But then the specs say something different.
i concur, but i'm still considering as i wouldn't use it beyond 120hz (console). if i recall, 2.0 supports 1440p to around 144hz. also, at least it has dp 1.4.
usb 3.1/3.2 would be nice though, but this monitor has been out about 2 years, so i guess we can't be choosers lol.
edit- actually, it looks to be only dp 1.2, which for pc gaming @ 1440p, the high refresh rate is useless.

You are right: HDMI 2.0 will do 144 Hz @ 1440p. So, HDMI 2.0 is good enough for that 1440p LCD.
I have three LCDs that'll all do DP and HDMI 2.0. However, my 3070 Ti will only do two DP, with two more HDMI 2.1 ports. So, this means when I do nV Surround, one LCD will not be able to do G-Sync, do the 165 Hz refresh, etc.
https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Preda...eyword=1.4 both reviews on amazon seem to indicate displayport 1.4 despite the specs, don't know how else they could claim the 240-270 Oc refresh rates. I've ordered a DP 1.4 cable and will post here after testing when my unit arrives

I ended up going with the following:
I would think so. This amazon review gave the high brightness as a reason for returning the unit. https://www.amazon.com/gp/custome...GI228
Other people have posted about the HP X32. Seems like a solid choice. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-3...Id=6483573
