It wasn't a MM kind of deal though; I did end up spending more installing it due to wanting a C-wire and spending forever attempting to fish a wire through the wall before just getting the C-wire adapter. Here's where my post is useful: if you have only two wires, the compatibility checker hasn't been updated for the fact that the C wire adapter will probably work for you.
