So it appear that you need to have 5G phone service with Verizon to get this deal.

Better to stay at Tmobile with cheaper unlimited plan TMobile offers.

I talked to a sales rep. and said I dont need the 5G svc. and she said she can offer me the same plan but without 5G it would be $30 a month with free install & setup. Call them or try over chat.

you can get this same deal without the 5G phone svc. for $30 a month. I just signed up my parents for it.

may depend on area - but 1Gb is showing $64.99/mo with Auto Pay & select 5G mobile plans. (no military) and $89.99 w/o 5G, may want to check in cognito or clear cookies.
Must have a verizon mobile plan to receive that promotion

The $89 is with auto pay. I was $89 without auto pay before so it dropped it to $79 with auto pay

Can anyone confirm that as an existing customer I can just cancel service and then restart service under my spouse's name the next day? What's the reason for canceling on the last day of the billing cycle?

I'm not sure how some non Verizon mobile ppl here chat/call and got the $30 deal...Must be the people with the talent of talking themselves out of speeding tickets...I tried multiple chat and they all asked me to apply for the Whatever program that is only available to military, firefighter, and nurse...
Great deal if you get it...
Try the strategy I put in the Wiki. Worked for me.

FIOS does not do prorated refunds so you want to use your entire cycle or you'll lose money.

If you use your spouse's name and all different information, then you should be able to get the 10 year price lock and other features of the deal.

However before starting any of that I'd recommend going "in cognito" or "private" and checking to see if you can even get the deal, go through the process of signing up for new service as a new customer (you don't have to complete it or give any info other than your address) and see what the price is. For me it was coming up $49.99 even though the specials page said $29.99.

If you do see the $29.99 price then the process that always worked best was call in and schedule cancel for the last day of your billing cycle (not the bill date, you have to look at the bill on like page 2 or 3 and see when the service starts and ends). Wait an hour or so then go through the process of signing up as a new customer. Having the pending cancel in the system will avoid having to provide proof that the prior person is moving etc.

I don't care much about the 10 year price lock or whatever gift card is offering, so having them knock $10 off for me and bring my existing service down to $29.99 is fine. Heck the 10 year lock also locks your speed in, so if they start offering 400M, or 500M for the same price, and you choose to "upgrade" to it - you'll lose that price lock anyway. They went from 200 to 300 about a year ago, so would expect it again in the future (especially with comcast now offering 400 for $29.99).

I'm also in the Boston, MA area.

When I go to verizon.com/specials, I see the offer for $29.99

But when I click order now, the price changes to $49.99

I'm not a Verizon Wireless customer. I tried entering both my phone number/email address and just my email address.
Same thing I was seeing. If you click the "i" next to the price, it says only for 5G customers and that it expired in November. So not really sure what is going on with that or how the other user got it.

Thanks, when I put in my address it's showing up as $49.99 so I imagine it's unlikely I'll get the $29.99 price unless anyone has had success with that?

I feel like they really haven't changed the pricing at all. This is just a marketing push.

I've had FiOS for many years now and it has been $50/ month for the lowest tier service with $10 autopay discount, working out too be $40/month.

They also have had the additional Verizon mobile bundle discount for at least the last year. What I don't like it's their info page is pretty unclear about what the discount amounts are for each autopay and mobile bundle.

But iirc, it would be $10 autopay discount and the rest of the advertised price either come from mobile bundle discount.

And I'm not a current FIOS customer so I can't use your "I want to cancel trick"

Currently paying $29.99 for 300/300 and convincing myself I didn't see this and it's not worth the hassle to try to get it adjusted. Something tells me I won't be able to get it down to the $24.99 anyway and I'll just have wasted a ton of time.

$49.99/mo
-10 (Auto-Pay & Paper Free)
-5 (Mobile & Home Level 2)
-5 (Educator Discount)
$29.99/mo

Any name brand carrier is gonna be more expensive. I get unlimited everything for $18.33 ($25 if you're not on a family plan) with Hello Mobile

This Verizon service is bad in my area.
I have to pay a month of trial service and returned the unit. They still sending me a bill for $216 every month since August. Because they think I didn't return the box. What's a crappy system for a big company!
