So it appear that you need to have 5G phone service with Verizon to get this deal.

Better to stay at Tmobile with cheaper unlimited plan TMobile offers.

I talked to a sales rep. and said I dont need the 5G svc. and she said she can offer me the same plan but without 5G it would be $30 a month with free install & setup. Call them or try over chat.

Keep trying. It took me many attempts before I found a rep who would create the order for me. They will all try to upsell you to 1 Gbps, but be firm on wanting the cheaper 300 package. If you contact them at the same time I did (Sunday 5 PM), maybe you will get lucky and get the same rep I got. This was my first message to the rep.

I checked my account and I was offered 1gig connection for 39.99, I was paying that for 300mbps plan. I upgraded immediately, comes with router and 4 year price guarantee.

This is beyond frustrating, I've tried several times and can see the 29.99 price but because I'm buying a house where the current residents have Verizon service they are not allowing me to take advantage of the deal. I have talked to several representatives over two days with no luck. At this point I'm just signing up for the $30 for 400 mbps Xfinity deal in my area. Shouldn't have to go through this many hoops to get an advertised price.
