Been looking at purchasing this since release but scared away from the customer reviews on the web. I'm wondering is this is hardware issue or can be fixed software updates

Im in the same boat here. Looks like Nov software update fixed a lot of things
Had one for a couple weeks, worked without issues, got a great price on a Eero 6E Pro and thought it's almost double the price, has to be better and returned the Nest without comparing. Yea that was a mistake, Nest Pro was significantly better and lost my 30% coupon from Google. May repurchase again at a higher price 😑

It's discounted every where - 15% off
The 15% discounted per-unit price on the 3 pack everywhere else is $113.33.
The $60 off per-unit price on the 4 pack at Costco is $97.50.
So $15.83 less per unit at Costco, or $47.49 less on 3 units. The additional $15.83 saved on the 4th unit in the Costco set is just a bonus since the 4 packs aren't sold anywhere else that I know of.
Also get 2% back on the subtotal with an Executive membership.

Same but the good thing at Costco is that's a simple return.

They ran this same deal maybe six months ago. I bought it then. I've not had any issues at all. As a matter of fact, it's cleaned up every issue we've had with our wifi. I have great connections throughout the house. We have a tri level about 2700 sq. Feet. The devices I want hardwired are in the basement so that's where I always kept the router. No matter what I had before we always had coverage issues in the upstairs bedroom. Signal is great now with this wifi points. The speakers built in were an unexpected bonus. I get a lot more use out of Google assistant than I ever dreamed I would.
Apparently I needed another cup of coffee. This looks like the newer units that just came out. I just gave you a review of the last model. 🤷 Anyway, they are good! 😂
These are nice but they are too high tech to run with some 2.4ghz things like my led string lights and traeger grill had issues connecting and some cams as well. I ended up getting the deco AXE5300 perfect connection and simple.

Yeah this set does not have speakers built in

I have a two pack of these. I came from the nest wifi router and point. Had them for a bit over a month. Overall was a good upgrade for me. I have 400 down from Xfinity. I did have issues with my 2nd router acting as a point dropping for a few minutes, but that seems to have been resolved as it hasn't happened for a while.
Old router was telling me internet speeds were 330 Mbps, now 440 Mbps. Real world wifi went from 180 Mbps to 400+. My wifi point with no ethernet backhaul went from ~80 to 230. Mind you this is while right next to the routers. It'll drop as you move further away.
This issue with older devices was also fixed by disabling the "Use 160 MHz channel for maximum performance on 5GHz" setting. I had issues with an older laptop connecting that I tried to troubleshoot for an hour with no luck. Turned that off and it instantly worked.
