I purchased two and have been using them for a few weeks. I like the lights but there are a few things to know. The light has a billion modes but you will likely only use two--super bright and medium. This driver is the annoying type that slowly gets dimmer as the battery is depleted which is likely just a limitation of the battery influencing design to get more runtime. It makes it hard to tell if it's charged or going to be dim in 2 minutes. By the end of its runtime, the light is similar in output to a very small book lamp. You can turn it off and on again for a quick burst of full output, but the battery voltage will sag quickly. The last used mode memory feature is a huge plus, as is not having to cycle through to turn it off (after ~10 seconds, one press will turn it off instead of cycling modes). The battery has the USB-C charging input built in and the light's waterproof seal design is very nice. The battery does not fit into other headlamps that I've tried, but looks suspiciously like the $25-$30 REI rechargeable headlamp battery. The light has a husky lifetime warranty, but the battery and cable do not. Overall worth the price compared to the competition, but for any sort of contracting you will want 2 and some AAA batteries as back up, or rely on a Ryobi work light which are my favorite lights ever.

I like the fact this one can either be run on 3 AAA or the included rechargeable battery. I like my energizer rechargeable, but there are times I forgot to charge it and it's gone out on me when I needed it.

It says "replaceable" but I can't find anywhere the type/model. I'd also be curious about this.

Comments say it has a short battery life, like 10-15 minutes. The specs say 1.5 hours. With 9 light modes it looks complicated to use. Hopefully you can pick a mode and it'll return to it when you turn it off and on. Will look for a manual before considering purchasing.

I like the concept but they don't list a weight or a waterproof rating

Has many modes yes. But what's an extra second to click to the mode you want. As far as running time. I had it on medium for about 80min a few days ago working outside. Seemed to work plenty fine with nothing showing it was about to die. Very bright on high thats for damn sure

Since you own one, can I ask you a question?

In the peripheral mode, can you dim it or are those LEDs only fully on or fully off?

Any link or info about Ryobi work light you mention will be good. Thanks in advance.

I bought one and noticed that it will start dimming after just a few minutes of use. I have charged the battery to full. Yours doesn't dim at all?
