Blame Apple for the stupid crap laptop manufacturers pull.

8GB of RAM shouldn't have been a thing, but everybody saw Apple do it. Same thing with non-expandable RAM and/or storage.

If the person decides to tinker around in their laptop, and they mess something up, that's their problem.

No idea about 13. From all I read, it happens for no reason, just normal use, not even 2-in-1 action. I think design miscalculation trying to make it thin/light like LG gram (which has no such issues).

You can bring down the price to another $50 or more if you buy a cheap watch for the trade in. Mainly got it for portability and light multi task with microsoft applications. Going to retire my chromebook 2.
