Looks like a great deal.

From the previous thread:
Quote from Saqq :
Been using these since November. Currently own a couple of Edifier, AirPod 3 and Pros & the WF 3's. The Liberty Pro 3 get a lot right. The WF have better noise cancelling and AirPod pros have better transparency + microphones but unless you're in specific situations you won't really notice.
Battery life is not as good as advertised but solid. I get ~4 hours from the buds at 60% volume and ~ 4 charges from the case. Case supports wireless charging and quick charge so dropping it on a MagSafe puck for a few minutes is super convenient. The multi point connect is excellent, even jumping between my MBP and iPhone whenever appropriate. I'm not sure about their Hear i.d gimmick but there are other eq in the soundcore app to customize to your liking.

Only linger con imho is they don't always properly sit in the charging case. The right bud specifically has to be removed and reset in its grove to make sure it's charging properly. Sometimes they also remain connected to devices if not properly set in their case and end up draining both the buds and connected device battery.

For 1/2 or 1/3 price these compete 95% with best in class models. If you're on the fence, Liberty Pro 3 are excellent at this price.

Have these, got at $99, and can say after a little EQ these things sound amazing. ANC is okay, and transparency mode is a bit 'amplifier' sounding but works well. Case has survived being in my pocket at work for the past few months (I'm a server, use these when doing side work or end of night cleanup). I'm sure after the "Liberty 4 Pro" comes out these will drop to $50-60 range, but they're still a superb set of 'high fi' wireless buds.

How are these compared to the Anker soundcore from Costco deal?

As a bluetooth collector/daily user (20+), personally I don't use A/NC earbuds or recommend it.

There's been multiple studies that show it'll really fark up your hearing even with short term daily usage - >90 min.

I bought these during BF from amazon.

My experience: for music listening, I really liked them, lots of EQ options. ANC worked well during a business trip I took. The jet engine noise dropped significantly

My absolute biggest gripe was the phone call. The background noise was reported to be awful, this thing picks up the smallest of noise. My voice, it came across as digitized and at times, garbled. I sent them back, and got a replacement. Nothing changed in regards to the quality when making a phone call. They are sitting on the coffee table.

The apple AirPods Pro gen 2 are on sale for $200. Bought them on Monday. background noise complaints seems to have gone away. For my ears, the music sounded very good too.

I'll do some more playing around with the Anker liberty 3 pro, but I'm 99% sure they are going back to amazon.

See Joe and Robbie's Journal of Acoustics and Sweet Power Chords - "An examination in consequences of having twelve 12" woofers three feet behind your head in a moving vehicle at 120db three hours daily followed by 20 minutes of ANC earbud use"

Abstract: "Dude, dream theater rocks!!!"

The new york times has written several articles about this over the years.

It's the combination of A/NC + earbuds at high volumes for long durations.

For younger people, it is almost used intentionally at higher volumes for long periods. There are definitely major benefits though, but most of the time people use ANC with their volume at 100%.

Typically over the ear headphones provide better seals than earbuds b/c for most people earbuds aren't fitted correctly - which is why most earbuds come with 4-8 different ear fittings. it's also the reason why most professional shooters (who can still hear) choose to use over the ear hearing protection unless they have those pricey custom earbuds.

From a design point of view, most earbuds also don't have volume controls, and you have to control the volume from your device, which is typically difficult to equalize when certain tracks or videos are extremely loud, while others are soft and you typically end up on the higher volume end than the lower volume end to compensate.

I also work in healthcare, and have seen an influx in hearing problems in younger people compared to their peers and their device of choice is usually earbuds of some kind.

Many consider these the best earbuds on the market, and are a steal at this price point.

I bought these in early October and just returned them to Amazon after daily use. I loved everything about them except the silicone wings that wouldn't stay in their grooves and would need constant adjusting. Combined with they easily fall out of your ears when walking through the house or outside when I would do yard work. It was super annoying and I'd feel them start to come out and catch them with my hand. I tried all combinations of wing tips and silicone ear pieces.

I bought some Sony Link Buds S during BF and they are absolutely amazing! They've never fallen out of my ear once and their battery life is 7 hrs with ANC vs. these Ankers with 5.5 hrs as measured by Rtings. This has helped out a lot as I'm a BI Developer consultant in several meetings during the day and the Anker buds would all of a sudden say "low battery" right in the middle of meetings and even die on me. I was pretty vigilant about putting back in when not using, but I needed to be hyper vigilant I suppose. The Sony buds have worked great though not giving me that issue and that extra 1.5 hrs has helped get me through if I've had several meetings in a row.

I wouldn't necessarily discourage others from buying as everyone has different ears. But, just make sure you put them through those paces when you get them. If you're going to be walking a lot with them on, that's where I'd caution as they may not stay in your ears well. If you are stationary a lot, you shouldn't have any trouble.

Hope this helps others!
