Yes, everything looked good until you get to the 768p resolution. I am normally not a resolution snob, but 768p is not very useful.

Honestly, 768p is livable for normal computing. Not great but livable. The processor speed is the issue.

These days the processor is normally not the bottleneck, even this processor. It's usually memory and storage. Having 8gb and not having emmc storage is great and will make the processor seem snappy enough for its intended use (web browsing). Surfing with 768p is painful because you are having to scroll way to much to fit everything on your screen.

SSD or EMC, I find these atom-based processors to be painfully slow. A fast SSD and more RAM certainly help. Even web browsing is a little painful, TBH.

I've done plenty of work at 768p. I think it's fine. I can always control-minus and shrink the text, which I do. But for this lappy, the dealbreaker is the processor, not the screen.

I have a similar laptop but even slightly older celeron, but with 4gb and emmc.

For web browsing, it is more than fine if it is just one or 2 pages open. Once you start to open up multiple pages and tabs, it slows to a crawl. That's a memory and memory speed issue. This is from real-life experience. The processor is fine. And you, have you actually used one in real life or just speculating?
Again, as I have said, it's fine for its INTENDED use. Nobody should be buying this for anything more than web browsing, media streaming, etc. Forget playing games with this. If that is your intended use, then obviously that's not going to happen, but that is unrealistic for what you are paying.
