Sadly, with the touchscreen these have a horribly glossy screen which makes them unusable outside. I prefer the matte screen of the newer models, even if they don't have the touchscreen.

Can you elaborate? I have a glossy touchscreen and have no issues outside. Are you saying that as a generality or have you tried this specific laptop outside?

Glossy screen isn't the issue with all laptops. it's the nits produced that is the problem. I believe it needs to be 500nits or higher in order to be viewable. If it's an oled panel producing that level of brightness, then it's even better since the pixels are generating its own light rather than a backlight pushing through them.

I really wish all laptops would do 16:10 ratio, touchscreen, and 500nits or higher screens, similar to tablet computers.

I feel they are purposely doing this to save money and make you buy a tablet, too.

I can't wait until micro led comes out, which is supposed to get rid of the brightness problem altogether.

Out curiosity why do you need more 16gb of RAM? This is not gaming laptop and the type of programs that would require 16gb are unusual for folks to use. I have multiple programs and hundred of tabs open(usually 500-700 in 12-15 windows) on an 8gb system, yes 16gb would help me as sometimes there some slowdown but I can't image what 32gb would do for me. I don't edit 8k video but if I did this laptop is the machine for that.

Your web browser, whether it be Chrome or Firefox, will run smoother. This is especially true if you have another single or multiple applications running at the same time.
