The range is always greatly overstated on walkie-talkies since they don't take obstacles into account. The 1-2 miles reported in the reviews is actually pretty good IME. I just wish they would use Li-ion batteries though. And IPX4 is the minimum for outdoor activities.

Watch out some reviews says they received T470 instead of a T472.

T470 has a Battery 🔋life of 12hrs and T472 has a 28hrs

I remember grabbing the T470 from Walmart $35.99 on sale last year going great so far
