Not working for returning subscribers. Mine expired about 6 months and it's still pulling up full price at checkout despite showing up in the deals page.

FINALLY! Thank you OP!

I am an returning customer but the PS Plus expired in Nov 2022. I was able to stack 2. Had to login using my PC, then click on "Join Playstation Plus" and then saw the 29.99 price. When I tried to purchase the second one and stack, gave me credit card expired error. Was able to pay using paypal and checkout.

Seems like some returning customers are able to purchase for $29.99 based off the comments here, although I haven't had any luck (Mine expired a month ago).

Essential is the equivalent of Xbox Live Gold in terms of features. There are at least 2 higher PS+ tiers - not included in this OP - at least one of which includes PlayStation Now & is a closer match to Game Pass Ultimate.

However, from what I have read, those 2 tiers are confusing [thegamer.com].

Personally I moved from Xbox Live Gold to Game Pass Ultimate (Game Pass doesn't have the same tier confusion as PS+), but kept my PS+ at Essential.

I am not seeing it at $30, I am not currently subscribed and have not been for years. This might be targeted deal.

I also created a brand new PS account and it's not showing up there either.

My subscription just expired at the end of November. I was able to stack 4 years by using Paypal (plus 5% back with Chase Freedom). Once you get to the "Thank you for your purchase!" screen, click the "X" in the top right corner and subscribe again by selecting "Add to Cart" and going through that flow.

Essential. All existing legacy PS+ subscribers were moved to Essential unless they specifically and deliberately upgraded to a higher tier.

Mine ran out on the 9th was able to buy three years for $30 each then upgraded to premium for $89, thanks.

I felt like a dummy since I just spent the $47 last night on the 3rd party deal. However, when I go in there now, it allows me to get the $29.99 deal, as well as for multiple years. You just purchase it. Then come back to the home page and purchase again.

To confirm, it DOES work for existing Essentials subscribers. At least ones with less than a day of membership. Get as many years as you are comfortable with. Let's be real, it's not like the price will ever go down.

Since my PS+ ended in November when I go to the playstation web site for essential tier I see 50 percent off for the first year if I add to cart can I add multiple years to it or is it just for the one year?
