I have this lock… actually 2 of them. I really like them. I added the keypad as well. I like that you can set notifications to anytime the door is unlocked (and if you set up separate codes) who unlocked… also, the auto lock feature actually works as advertised, and is super easy to change the duration, or disable if you're having a party and tons of people in and out. We previously had a couple kwikset locks that the auto lock would decide when it wanted to work.

You literally have to be on the home wifi network to exploit such vulnerability. If someone is on your home wifi you have bigger issues

Thanks, so what is included in this set. It is not really clear from the amazon website.

The lock, and gateway (connects to your WiFi network) and installation hardware. The keypad is separate.

This also uses your existing deadbolt, so no deadbolt is included.

Did you find that you had to change the battery every 6 weeks? I've gotten 2 units and still this problem.

So I've had my second one installed for about 2 weeks now. The first has been installed for about 2 months. I haven't had to change any batteries so far. I just checked the battery level on the front door lock and it's at 56%.

We change the batteries on ours about every 4 months. That's more often than the ZigBee locks on our other house but kind of expected for wifi I feel. Overall I really like this lock especially since my father can still use his old key as he always has. Also, the outside aesthetic didn't change which is nice when dealing with Condo HOAs.

I have this Wyze lock and a Nest Yale lock. My biggest issue with the Wyze is that it eats up battery so quickly. I get low battery notifications about every 3 weeks, whereas my Nest lock's battery last over 8 months easily.

Wyze knew about a security vulnerability in their cameras and kept it hidden for years. There's no way I would trust Wyze on my network after such a failure to communicate.

I have this lock, and I do not recommend it. You can use rechargeable batteries but the app gives a low battery warning in a few months (I think the battery level starts from 20% for rechargeable or less). What drives me crazy is the need to do calibration in random intervals. I want to do it once and forget all about it.
Btw I think this works with Bluetooth to connect to the adapter that comes with it so it should be conservative on batteries but it is not. Most probably due to open and close and ajar states, Wyze need to put some option in the app to turn those features off, one can easily add a door sensor separately instead.

I have three of these locks. The first one I installed in July and it is at 33% right now. I also have the keypads installed on all three. I love the flexibility of being able to use the keypad, my phone, or the existing keys (since all three door are keyed the same). I also have a timer setup to automatically lock all three at 9:30 each night.
