Odd. I bought these (same SKU) a few months ago but then they were "Bose QuietComfort SE Noise Cancelling Headphones Bundle" Appear to be the same. Checking the reviews it seems I am correct, the 45 and SE are the same except for the case, but the case in the listing also appears to be a soft one just like the one I got with the SE.

Coming from an original QC system (wired, AAA batteries etc) these are great. Not sure if I like the recharging feature, as on longer travels it can be difficult to manage charge status vs. just swapping a single AAA battery. It's nice that the headphone function still works even when unpowered, which is something my other set couldn't do.

Thanks. I saw these listed today on Costco's site and was going to post this deal. Beat me to it. I actually bought these same ones about a month ago for $20 more. Which if I was in the store they'd match this price. But I bought them in the store not online. So I bought another pair now at this price and I'll return one for the original price. These sound great, are relatively light to wear, and sold for $329 originally.

BTW if you buy these at Costco today only for $199.99 there's no return time limit. Headphones don't have one.

Again?! Man, why wont Best Buy or Amazon match this deal price! I know its a special version for Costco with a bad case, but still! I figured one of the other major companies would hit the $199 price!

What do you mean by "no return time limit"? Not even 1 yr?

Bose has them for $229 on their site with the hard case. You can get 8% cash back through a certain cash back site which I can't mention. That works out to about $19 off. Very close to the Costco deal and with the better case.

What is the low battery indicator like on these? Do they continue to repeat several times before the battery dies?

I currently have a pair JLab ANC (34 plus battery life) that will say 'low battery' once at around the 10% mark, and then the battery dies. Loved this design.

However, I recently ordered two of the same exact Jlab AnC pair, but for some reason both of these will repeat 'low battery' every 3 to 4 minutes until the battery dies. With my most recent test, one of them repeats it for a total if 15 times over the course of 1 hour before the headphones needs to be charged. I've already emailed Jlab and will likely be returning them both.

They sound great and are super comfortable, but they are definitely not gaming-focused. You have to choose between a bluetooth connection (with latency) or a wired connection that does not support the onboard mic. You can add an inline mic, but if your primary use case is gaming, there are probably better options.

If you connect with wired connection, does it still use the battery for noise cancelling? (or does it use power from the cable instead?)

The charging cable is only for charging and updating firmware. Audio cable that connects to it does Not provide power!

The ANC (and digital EQ) rely on the battery to work. That said, these have a battery life of 20+ hours with ANC active, so it probably wouldn't be a huge issue. Plus, if the headphones are off or the battery dies, the audio still works passively.
