This was taken from another post for this card a few weeks ago. According to it both cards you're looking at are about equal performance-wise.

I suggest getting This instead. It's the same thing but by MSI and I haven't had the best time with ASRock. Check this out on @Newegg: MSI Mech Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 Video Card RX 6700 XT MECH 2X 12G OC https://www.newegg.com/msi-rx6700..._-12122022
I'm pretty sure it was the rx6700 (no xt) that flirted with 300. 6700xts at around 350 are the lowest those have gone so far.

The keys are deposited to your Steam account after AMD software detects and verifies the card is present in your machine, so I don't think so. (unless there's a workaround of course)

Does that mean I can't return the video card once I install it if I bought an AMD card from Amazon or Bestbuy? Because the keys are deposited automatically?

You can sell to other 6000 series card owners. Lots of sale on eBay, but prices very low especially with the issues Calisto Protocol has on PC.

But this card was under $300 recently. That's the buy level for a 6700XT level I feel currently. Anything over $300 I'm not sure if it's worth it over the 6650XT.

You can also just choose to get Dead Island 2 instead. Though I'm unsure how to redeem it for a game that won't be out until March. I guess it works like a Pre-order.

I'm really loving my 6700XT. I didn't think it would help as much over my old GTX 1060, being that I'm so CPU bottlenecked (still using a nehalem i7 920) but it's provided a huge boost in all my games. I can pretty much run everything maxed out at 1440p.

I'm going to need you to point out where you found an XT model at the price. Special one off deals from services ZIP, affirm, etc. where you sell your credit score or SSN to purchase do not count.

$340 is about as cheap as this card class can be found. Prices have edged upward lately on all cards, which is frustrating.

No it was this exact card I bought one and returned the MSI I bought days before when BF started.

That deal is looking more and more good. Hopefully in the coming year when 7000 mid range drops these can be had for the same or lower price if any are still in stock.

Zip and Affirm do not take SSN or have credit hits, its been debated at length. I have used each several times in the past year at 0% interest and never took any credit hit, mine has just continued to trickle up as usual.

If you wanted to pass on those deals during black friday that's fine, I and many others got 15% off out black friday builds from newegg.
