These are literal garbage. I bought a ton of them the last time they are on sale and they are unusable, look at the app before buying them. They have less than 2 stars on the Play store

Horrible app. Received this bulb with smart clock and I can't recommend this POS at all. Constantly loses connection, a pain in the ass to pair, scheduler in the app does not work. Total POS.

This morning Lenovo sent me $15 in award points (not sure why) so I used that to buy 3 of these bulbs for a total of about $4.50 after taxes. Great deal! I bought several of them last year at this time and they work great for me.

FYI these are Tuya/Smartlife compatible if anyone is wondering. Just need to put in ap mode to set up.

Does anyone know if the light bulb requires location permissions? I bought a cheap light bulb (Merkury) from Walmart about a year ago and to my surprise, it wouldn't work unless i downloaded the app and provided it with location permissions. I was like Why in the world would a light bulb company need to know where I'm at...

It's for if you run location based automations. You can run it in smartlife without it being required.

I so badly want affordable LED bulbs like this that don't require WiFi.
I have old cheap no name Chinese LED bulbs that came with cheap garbage membrane remotes that both died out.
I just want LED bulbs that simply work via Bluetooth & a quality app. or even just a remote that works for more than a year.

Awhile back I stocked up on cheap off brand bulbs(3 for $15). If I knew this was the future, I wouldn't have stocked up on so many.

During COVID, I totally stocked up on Wi-Fi-enabled bulbs and outlets that work with Alexa (or an app) and it didn't cost very much. Now I argue with Alexa constantly about which lights to turn on lol. But for the most part it's pretty convenient to have voice-activated lights.
