XMG, Maingear, Eluktronics, etc, they are all rebranded TongFang laptops.

I run AMD on all my systems, laptops and desktops and I've never had any real issues with them. They are much more efficient and typically run a lot cooler than Intel with similar performance.

And let's not forget the battery advantage AMD has. Comparing the same models, AMD typically has another hour, sometimes 90 min better runtimes.

Any current MainGear owner can comment on the durability and efficiency of their laptops? Looks like a niche brand?

I had a Maingear Element laptop with 2070MQ for 3 years and loved it. I only recently sold it because I was looking for an upgrade so I think I'm going to get this. It's an insane deal. I had wanted to wait for 40xx laptops but they'll probably be hard to get and cost twice as much

This thing looks like a beast based on the specs. But there are barely any reviews out there. I could really use something like this to replace my aging workstation.

Idk, I'm not sold on AMD yet. I still am seeing people claiming driver issues, crashing, etc specific sometimes to AMD systems . Obviously it can't be widespread because there are fanboys and repeat customers for a reason... But I'm just not hearing the same issue for Intel stuff. Just a shame Intel tends to be so much more expensive

I used to have driver issues with AMD 1700, but haven't experienced any issues with AMD chips later than that.

That 6900HX is a beast of a mobile processor. These specs are quite good. Impressive deal.

Excellent deal for performing laptop. Highest TGP for a GPU and a great CPU. Also 32GB DDR5 is plus at this price, shame that it's not shipping.

Looks like it's a rebranded xmg neo 15? Seems like quite a deal. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Sch...358.0.html
