Update: Bostonyankee's suggestion about account managers (on page 6 of this discussion) worked for me.
My 12 month required service with Verizon(for previous gift card promotion) is ending soon. Probably won't stay with verizon just for this promotion. But if you're with verizon anyway, this seems to be a great deal.

Your 12-month promotional period of Netflix Premium begins on the date you activate the qualifying subscription service on the service provider's website or app. To access your Netflix promotion, you must activate your Netflix subscription or move your existing Netflix subscription to the +play platform.
I have an existing Netflix subscription. Can I get the promo?
Yes! Simply select the qualifying service you would like to purchase. When you go through the steps to sign up it will take you to the Netflix sign-up page. If you are already a current Netflix customer, you will be prompted to log in with your current credentials.
Note: Customers who have an existing Netflix subscription that was purchased on +Play do not qualify for the promo.
If you have an existing Netflix subscription, once enrollment is complete you can do the following:
Click on the Netflix tile to activate; you will be redirected to Netflix.com
Input your existing email address and password if you want to migrate billing to +play.
A confirmation of the transfer will appear on Netflix.com

1. Try going into Account Management when logged in as the Account Owner (the login that doesn't let the promotion go through).
2. Add an Account Manager and associate them with one of the remaining phone numbers on the account. If you already have an Account Manager set up like this (with # and email), just use that login in step 4.
3. Sign out of the Verizon site
4. Sign in as the Account Manager, not the Account Owner.
5. While signed in as the Account Manager, go to plusplay.verizon.com and try the steps to activate the offer you want.
6. Profit!

Note I was able to sign up for this deal and I don't have an Unlimited plan, nor do I have home internet. All I have is a 10gb data plan with Verizon Wireless. I signed up for NFL+ Premium and got 1 year of Netflix.
