Saw this at the store, was placed right next to the 17" LG laptop with the same configuration. The 17" awkward keyboard ruins the deal. The 14" you can literally tuck into your purse. Had to pull meself away from buying.

$699 - Asus Vivobook OLED 14.5" or LG gram 14"?

Mostly for light use and watching movies, I am considering Asus. Any suggestions?

LG hands down for its size and simplicity. I've tried both the Asus and Dell in the $1000 price range and both were loaded with crapware that kept popping up, even after I spent hours cleaning. The proprietary software on them were difficult to remove unless you reformat the entire system and have your own OS handy.

This shows out of stock on the product page, but if you search for LG Gram on Costco's website and simply click "Add" to your cart without clicking on the product page itself, then you can buy it.

I just did that and ordered one. Not sure why that worked, but fyi.

I have one of the original 15.6" Grams and absolutely love it (even with the flaws of the original). They've fixed all of them with the new versions (keyboard, touchpad) and this 14" version is the perfect size IMO. I love the non touch version too since it's lighter. This is a fantastic deal for a great machine.

Is the ram upgradable? Can the SSD be upgraded too? Please help.

I believe you can upgrade the SSD but not the ram. I have 16gb of ram on my old version and it handles normal usage (web, MS Office work) just fine.

Can confirm still in stock at local warehouses. Find your store and give em a call. Mine had 6 left!

They also had them on display. Super light and type c charge is huge!

You can add it to the cart, but not buy it. When trying to check out it tells you it's not available.

However, this laptop is available in the stores for the same $699. I just picked one up 2 hours ago.
