Either HOLIDAYSURPRISE or HOLIDAYDEAL, coupons can be used which would give you the same $100 off.

This code (LEGIONCTOPROMO) could be worse than the default code (LEGIONCTODEAL) if you start adding options. It looks like LEGIONCTOPROMO is a fixed discount while LEGIONCTODEAL is percentage discount. So try both codes if you are adding any options on top of the base configuration. I was upgrading RAM and storage, in which case LEGIONCTOPROMO became a worse deal than the default one.

Got this config during BF time for $1750 plus tax. Used the $100 off code, instant $68.99 off, eCoupon of -$650, id.ME of $97.50. Then can add on cash back from the well known site and even some lenovo credit to use on lenovo.com.

This code (LEGIONCTOPROMO) is actually worse than the default code (LEGIONCTODEAL). I was waiting for Lenovo to come out with a good discount since Thanksgivings, but so far the best on Legion 7 is still the default promo code.
legionctopromo gave a higher discount for me in cart

holidaysurprise $100 off, holiday deal only $75 off

It's not. LEGIONCTOPROMO gives a higher discount.

For the base configuration. If someone is upgrading RAM, storage, CPU or graphics, then LEGIONCTOPROMO would be worse than the default code (because the default deal is percentage off). Please consider pointing this out in your original post. I almost pulled the trigger using LEGIONCTOPROMO until I realize it's actually worse than the default deal ... lol

Two questions:
1. Is memory soldered or swappable?
2. Does it have slot for a 2nd SSD?

1. You can swap out both slots
2. Yes, you can also watch a few youtube reviews where they open this one up. Great laptop btw.

Check out Jarrodstech review on this very model, he goes over all the innards with clear shots of whats inside.
1. Memory (ram) is swappable, I believe in the specs/documentation provided by Lenovo that the Max supported is 32gb Ram, however I read that some owners have upgraded to 64gb Ram with no issue.
2. It does have a 2nd SSD slot. The primary/default SSD slot apparently cannot support a dual-sided SSD (that has chips on both sides) as there is wiring that will not allow the SSD to sit flush. Although perhaps if a person was savvy enough they could make it work maybe.

My order arrived yesterday.
One of the upper corners was ripped open in transit, the black foam padding inside was visible without even opening the box. (Shipped via UPS).
Wouldn't have minded as long as the unit displayed & functioned as it should, however there is a dead/dark/black pixel to the right of the center of the screen. Ultimate support took a look and explained it's not enough for a tech to travel out to swap the screen. This unit is going back, what a bummer, its a really nice machine. Guess it's time to wait to see what CES brings for next years models.

Edit: I meant to post this in the other thread with this same deal, but i'll leave it as an update in case anyone else is interested.
