0. Battery type. If it's not lithium in some form, it's almost certainly trash for the average adult. Lead acid scooters are going to be heavy and have very low capacity (and therefore very poor performance and range) compared to lithium.
1. Battery capacity. Manufacturers can play all sorts of silly games with numbers, but at the end of the day the battery capacity matters most. This is a 280Wh battery (7.8A * 36V nominal = 280Wh). The ES3 and ES4 (all versions) are 374Wh meaning they will almost certainly have more power, and WILL have more range.
2. Motor rating. This is rated 350W, which is about the same as ES3/ES4. Note that this is the continuous rating-- some manufacturers will use peak, which is usually around 800W. Most scooters in this price range are 250-350W continuous/800-1000W peak, but again, since the motor has to be powered by something, the battery capacity will matter much much more than motor rating. The speed is usually dictated by local laws not motor or battery capacity, and can often be bypassed by uploading custom firmware. A lot of scooters including the ES3/ES4 usually go about 20mph, and 15.5mph is also common.
3. Weight. An extra 10lbs does make a difference on performance, an extra 20lbs makes a big difference (also harder to carry). Similarly, the persons's weight will likely have the most impact on performance. This is why some people might say a scooter is quick and has high range, while another person says they can barely move. A 100lb person vs 250lb person will have very different experiences because that 150lbs has an ENORMOUS impact.
4. Tire type/shocks. This one is relatively minor, but has some impact. Pneumatic tires are the most comfortable and lightest, but have to be replaced when they pop (which is often a nightmare to do or expensive to hire someone). Solid tires and shocks aren't as comfy and add weight, but last a very long time. There's some performance differences as well but pretty negligible imo (typically the harder the ride the more performance and range).
