Can I convert a Giftcards.com Visa Virtual Account into a physical gift card? (No)
Funds cannot be transferred from Giftcards.com Visa Virtual Accounts to physical gift cards.
Do they somehow block this?
Considering the physical ones come unactivated (not an issue if lost/stolen) it seems easier to just keep the card in your wallet instead of a folded paper.
Maybe I'm missing something but Costco doesn't have it's own wallet built within the app (would be amazing) so the only real benefit of egc vs physical is if you want it ASAP for shopping.
If you wanted to buy a bunch and let your membership expire I suppose you could do that if it's worth the effort to you.
I've read quite a few reports though that this is now YMMV depending on the warehouse.

which wallet you used to pay?
tried to repeatedly buy a $200 gift card using my Chase freedom and I got two orders out of 11 through somewhere in the middle of all of the attempts. there was no rhyme or reason as to why the other orders were canceled. I even created an account but still got rejected by them and my order canceled. needless to say 11:00 attempts on the same credit card triggered Chase fraud alerts which I had a clear on an email plus I had a call because the block was still going on even after that and I had to get an entire block removed from my credit card plus another block removed for the specific vendor. since I wanted three total $200 gift cards and I only have gotten two at this point I tried another credit card and this time was my Chase freedom unlimited and I place five orders with that and they were all canceled even though I made new accounts no accounts an order using the last previous account that I already had nothing worked no matter what I tried and of course this also triggered another different Chase fraud alert which I had a clear in my email for this card now and then call in again and talk to a representative from Chase because they blocked my card as well and the vendor once again and then I put in another order with the fraud specialist on the other line at the same time so she could tell me what's happening and she said that this company was just reversing the charges and it wasn't chase this time and she doesn't know why they were reversing the charges.
so there's my story I almost took 3 hours of my time to do and this company like I said is trash so good luck with your frustration.
Cancelled orders so many times that now Citi started declining transactions. To hell with their $14 discount, I just needed to meet minimum spent on CC. Wish I didnt bother. So much time and energy wasted. And they dont even have a phone support
If you mean buy a Costco GC and use it to pay for items at Costco, that's not liquidation.
