This is really cool if you want to share all your usb device without having to plug and unplugging them all the time.

Does noone make something like this with all the ports on the back so you can tuck them away without the cables sticking out the front?

Cheap KVM switches like this are generally a bad idea. If you read reviews on most of them, they have a tendency to feed electricity backwards into your devices, which can fry your motherboard and kill your computer.

Do yourself a favor and buy a decent KVM. Tripp Lite makes some that aren't terribly overpriced (one for $40 and one for $60). Don't gamble your computer's life on cheap crap from unknown brands.

Yep, I got a sabrent brand and one day the inputs weren't working so I disconnected it.Then I read the reviews that say just that. My stuff still works but I'm never using it again.

Yea I had a sabrent hub that kept the motherboard light turned on even after I unplugged the psu, that was a trip.

Why is this listed as a KVM when this doesn't switch video (the "V" in KVM)?

This would be cool if the switch supported a hotkey for a switch vs a physical button.

Things get super confusing with a single physical switch and very inconvenient to remove the hand away from the keyboard to the switch and back.

Is there one in particular you use or recommend?

Any switch from a GOOD brand with a decent warranty, like Tripp Lite or Startech.

If you're just looking for a USB port switcher (often erroneously called a KVM switch), they can be had for around 50 bucks. If you want a proper KVM switch with HDMI passthrough then it'll be more like $100-$200 (or more).

Will this add any latency? I want it to use it to switch kb/mouse but not sure if it will add any [noticeable] delay in FPS games.

I have a cheapo (aimos brand) and it's been good for a few years. It does downgrade USB 3 to USB 2, so switching storage is a no go.

Know that this company gets Amazon reviews in exchange for "free" 3-year warranties.
