Deals like these plus buying discounted gift cards plus (often) being able to get 2 meals out of one (if you stuff your burrito and get sides) makes Chipotle one of the "cheaper" options these days.

Do you need to order through the app or can you just give them the code when you pay?
My Chipotle gives you a 1/2 size burrito if you order online vs them making it in front of you.

It's online or app only. You could have your order made including queso then give cashier the code. If cashier is not willing to take the queso off then say you will place the online or app order in front of cashier so that way you could still get your order but just pay in app. A little extra work but this may work depending on cashier or manager.

That sucks. They could just add it to the app as a card with the $10 stipulation.

Ordering online takes away any advantage of this deal.

I agree with you.

That's why you should still go through the line and then if cashier won't take off queso then just place the order in front of cashier so this way you still get your "big" burrito and queso.

I wouldn't think they will let the order go to waste.

But there is a chance for them to say that there is now way to use a coupon that way.
I would have to take off the queso and I wouldn't have went otherwise.

I went ahead and tried the "get a bowl" method and of course got a nice $10 bowl of rice with a sprinkling of meat.

I'm done with Chipotle.

You can't have it both ways, higher prices or smaller portions.
