Lowest I've seen the price or equal to some prior expired deals. Most vendors are no longer selling this model so it may be EOL. If you want this particular Watch I'd say now is the time to buy.
*Arrives after Christmas.

This is a great watch. If you are considering getting a Fenix 7 take a good look at comparing the features of the two. There's a good chance you will be more than satisfied with the 6 with great savings. There are a number of in depth comparisons available online but I would say for most people the differences are not going to be worth the price difference.
Unpopular opinion here.

I haven't had any of my watches or phones for that matter get scratched in years. The Fenix bezel is the weak spot here, if cosmetics is important to you. Bushwhacking, bouldering, scrambles over trails haven't done a thing to the gorilla glass. Probably had well over 1000 hiking/backcountry miles on my last Fenix, bezel was worn but the glass was fine.

If I didn't go into the backcountry, I think i'd be more that happy with a Forerunner. Yes, running three times a week w/ the Fenix is not comfortable with an ill fitting watch band. I switched to the Ultrafit style velcro nylon band, that helps quite a bit.

That said, tempered glass protectors can be had 3/$10 and work perfectly well. Save the $50 and put that towards the watch bands that you'll probably need. Also maybe a dozen of those silicon charging port covers while you're at it.
Can't go wrong with a Garmin Fenix. The most favorable thing going for it is the long battery life (8d on mine). It doesn't require adjusting your routine to charge your watch. The biggest drawback is the lack of supported languages. All my foreign language texts appear as: <?><?><?>. It's 2022 Garmin, support more languages!

I didn't think this one gets the Morning Report that Fenix 7 or Forerunner 955 gets. I do agree that this is an outstanding watch but as Garmin rolls out new features, they don't make it to older devices. We also saw some slight discounting on Fenix 7 during Black Friday, so hoping that I can snag a Fenix 7 at a great price in Jan.

Depends what's important to an individual
To me the touch screen on 7 is worth the upgrade

I have this one on last deal from Buydig with free 2 year warranty. The main reason I bought it is for triathlon practice. It is a good watch, but I think if you only do cycling and running, a Forerunner would be better. What I don't like is its bulkiness. Not the style, size or design, but the thickness. The longer I run, the more I feel if I should've gone with something lighter and thinner.

I also have a forerunner and i know what you mean, but as long as i tighten the strap on the fenix 6 I'm fine

I'd go with the Sapphire. With its thickness, you will bump it very often. With Sapphire you don't have to worry about scratching the surface and be more carefree. Adding a screen protector is an option, but I don't like dust collecting around the bezel.

Yes, it's a piece if mind that makes the watch that more resilient to scratches. However, the bezel will get dinged and get scuffed up long before the glass shows wear.

I think it's worth the peace of mind having a screen that will not scratch

I've had mine for a monthish (BuyDig deal), I've already wacked it pretty hard twice on doorknobs. Glad I went with the Sapphire. It's pretty beefy for a watch so knocking it around some is inevitable.
