Because they're 15"-17", maximize performance out of laptop gpus, maximize battery life, and to keep cost down… to name a few reasons…

Thank you. Never owned a nitro, and always heard build quality and thermals weren't great but this seems like a good deal for the specs.

Why are all these gaming laptops FHD? What a waste.

Some apps don't scale well with 2k/4k, and 1080p is perfect for those with not so great vision.

You ever tried viewing QHD at native resolutions on the 17.3" display?

Do you seriously think a 3060 is doing 4K reliably at decent FPS?

Should I go with this or keep the ASUS TUF Gaming A17 for $849 from Walmart (Cyber Monday deal)? The ASUS has been running fine so far. No complaints. This Acer does have the 1TB where the ASUS TUF had 512GB SSD. Not sure about the TGP of this Acer RTX 3060 though.

Costco too. I wish we could filter out certain vendors.

Buying one of these up for pickup as a last minute Xmas gift. *Thumbs Up*

I have a nitro. The thermals aren't the best, but that goes for most laptops trying to produce high end graphics in a very confined space. I have a laptop fan and 2 blowers going when I game and haven't had any issues.

I'm kind of partial because I have a legion and it's been great. But I'd like to buy something for my wife and kids to play on from time to time. I didn't fell like spending extra money one a laptop to set 90% of the time. Price is right, just didn't know what I'd be getting into.
