    Metal bristle grill brushes have caused serious injuries to folks from sharp broken-off metal pieces lodging in the throat, esophagus, and trachea. Pre-Covid, there was a fairly big push to let folks know of the risk and to get these off the market, but it seems to have been derailed due to other (worse) bad news. Nevertheless, heavy duty non-metal abrasive pads with handles (made for grills) might be a preferred choice.

    Been using metal wire brushes for years never was an issue

    Yes, so many negatives mention the bristles falling out and ending up on the grill. I wonder if that just hadn't happened yet to those who left positive reviews - or maybe they just didn't care because they are cheap and disposable.

    And who needs 6 of them? They must know that they become landfill fodder very quickly.
