No. CA is banning gas furnaces and water heaters in 2030, although our neighbor city banned gas appliances. If you have solar and feel like spending $20k-$30k to upgrade your furnace, water heater, and all your appliances to electric, it will lower your gas bill, but the ROI on that is probably like 30 years. Without solar, running an electric drier every day will cost you around a $1000/mo.

Ban gas furnace in 2030.
Ban gas vehicles in 2035.

In the mean while:

Plead the Electric vehicles owners not to charge their vehicles between 4pm - 9pm to avoid putting stress on the grid.

I swear these Legislature in this State are the most stupid people in the world.

I jumped on the LG washer dryer deal couple of months back and within 2 weeks price dropped, while it was OOS online and in most stores. Had to call in 3 times to get an agent who said she'd to escalate to backend team for processing. Within a day I got a callback from that team saying they had processed the price adjustment.
So if say definitely try

Almost everyone I know has at least one EV in their household, and everyone charges their vehicles between 12am - 6am, much like when you run the auto-defrost cycle on your smart LG refrigerator. Also the ban doesn't include PHEVs, so everyone that hates EVs will just buy PHEVs with like 10-20 miles of EV range and 400 miles of gas range, and never charge their vehicles. Who knows, maybe by 2035, they'll build EVs with a 400 mile range that can charge in 5 minutes.
