Yea my dad used to buy packs of baseball cards with gum for 5 cents. Definitely wasn't the "good ole" days, it's just that everything else was cheaper too.

Myprotein is 19g of protein per scoop and 100 servings for $55. Someone can do the math but they're pretty similar.

The problem with these whey proteins is that they all have waaay too much sucralose added. I wish they sold unflavored ones too.
MyProtein sells unflavored versions of their protein. I got an 11 lbs bag of it. I didn't think it was bad, and if I wanted to add some flavor, I'd just add a scoop of cocoa powder.

Does Costco sell unflavored ones? I haven't seen one. That's what I meant
Ah okay. I thought you were speaking more broadly. I didn't see an unflavoured version on the linked page. My apologies.

In addition to sucralose, it also has a lot of maltodextrin, which I'm not a fan of either. At least the sucralose is the last ingredient, so it must be a very tiny amount. Do you know how much they put in?

Which one has maltodextrin? The ON doesn't have any. Maltodextrin is often added as a low sweetness fast acting carbohydrate so it has functional purpose, typically ones advertised as bulking/muscle building drinks. A lot of quick, non-fat, calories.

As for the sweeteners- Sucralose, and Acesulfame Potassium (K), are always at the bottom of ingredients lists because very little is used due to their sweetness. Sucralose is ~500x sweeter than the equivalent amount of sugar (sucrose) and Acesulfame K is ~200x sweeter. So to answer your question, definitely not much because a little goes a LONG way.

To be fair, it wasn't that long ago. Myprotein had sales placing it at about that price just within the past couple of years. So it's gotten as expensive as it has (i.e. almost doubled in cost), only fairly recently.
