I think I'd steer clear of any printer company that says the use of a 3rd party filament would void the warranty.

I dont have a 3D printer yet, but was pricing out getting a ToyBox for my daughter and the price on this filament (they call it "printer food") is good compared to even their sale prices. And they can use 3rd party (but dont recommend and voids warranty). I might consider this deal in the future once I'm sure i'm getting the printer.

Thanks was just about to post this as well, good deal on quality filament. Don't hesitate to get the printer, just do it. I found enough projects in the first month to cover the cost of a cheap ender 3.

Printing an Optimus Prime articulated figure, piece by piece, on a Toybox using 2.2 kg after market PLA filament...no big deal, great printer, barely any maintenance.

Overature is ok, but my AMS units can't handle cardboard spools. I wish more companies would opt for 'no spool'

There are some cardboard spool covers you can print so it glides on plastic instead of cardboard

I like how not only do other people recognize what the AMS is but they offered helpful advise (appropriately) for getting cardboard spools to work with the AMS.

Maybe I should get a couple overture spools to test out the adapters since they don't seem to work with the other brands' cardboard spools I wanted to use them for (which I partially expected but thought it would be worth a shot). I much prefer this to "re-spooling"

A company saying any brand of filament besides theirs voids their warranty would be a huge turnoff for me. What if Toyota voided their warranty if you didn't buy their motor oil? What if electronics companies voided their warrra Ty if you didn't buy their batteries? Pretty sure if they sell enough of those printers, eventually they'll get a class action lawsuit for predatory tactics.

Btw I'd like to see them try to prove you used 3rd party filament. No idea how they could. They should've just used an uncommon filament size like 2.1mm or something nobody else makes. It makes me think selling filament isn't the true goal,what they're really trying to do is get out of warranty for their products.

Got mine today and it seems to be working well. My printer has some tuning needed, but that's the printers fault, not the filament.

I use Overture PETG for all my PETG filaments. Prints always come out very nicely. I tried the AmazonBasics PETG which seemed to perform similarly, but with the price of Overture along with quality I stick with them. Never tried their PLA.

Good catch. $22 for red, white and black (all I checked), so a solid $4-8 less than normal.

Now if only printing TPU didn't take forever and a half.
