For those interested, the 4K digital version is the same price on Amazon prime as well. Perfect use of the digital credits I got this holiday season.

The studio (in this case, Paramount) either opts in or out of Movies Anywhere. While it's possible that Paramount decided to join MA, my personal opinion is that they will not anytime soon.

As for streaming quality: Apple is the best streaming service out there, to my eyes. Amazon streaming quality looks very poor, even on a gig internet connection. Also, I prefer the Apple interface to Amazon.

I'm tempted by this deal because this is the one platform I would choose for non-MA films. Hope that helps.

This may be a dumb question, but do movies usually become Movies Anywhere compatible eventually? Or does it mean you have to repurchase the movie again if it ever becomes MA compatible?

I've also read in other posts that some platforms may stream the content better than others? I'm not too knowledgeable about that, but would buying from Amazon vs Apple vs streaming on Paramount be very different? This question is in regards to Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos.

Using that logic, most movies/shows end up on streaming at one time or another, so there's no reason to buy any of them I guess. Makes perfect sense. /s
