The worst time to go VN is March n April. No wind at all.
May to Nov is raining season. Temp around 85 to 90. Summer also time for all kind of fruits compared to other seasons.

I saw a special from NYC to Vietnam for $789. Not as cheap as this one but still decent.

Worst time to go to Ho chi Minh city unless you're good with hot days and hot nights. go during the winter. If you go during the summer travel up north to Hanoi or Ha Long bay.

Just booked a flight there from Minneapolis last week. Paid around $700 with taxes and upgrades. Booked directly with the airline, so I get 5x points on the Amex (plus the travel insurance and other benefits).
