I have the full size version, and I really love it for EDC. It's light thin and very sharp. Having said that I would consider this version to be more of a gentleman's folder. The carbon fiber feels awesome, but it's smooth, not textured. It's also more rounded on the edges, which makes it more pleasant to hold than the G-10 version.
I would highly recommend the knife as long as you are looking for a beautiful EDC knife and not something that is tacti-cool.
So if you paid full price would you still like it. Missing a bit of context here. Link the half off for the full size please.
I bought it in new/unused condition from a private party for half price, and mainly only for putting it away with my collection of other knives that I like but don't carry.
The 535/533-3 are decent knives, look cool, and are pretty light...but 250+ for the 533-3 and 300+ for the 535-3, personally I don't think they're worth that much when you can build a better bugout for cheaper, and because Benchmade's QC has been slipping over the last few years.
My EDC is a fullsize bugout with 20cv blade(BHQ exclusive on sale and posted here), oversized washers, deep carry clip, and glowrhino scales(w/ black friday discount). It cost under 200 to build and I like it a lot more than my 535-3 which sells for 100+ more, has a harder to sharpen blade, and comes with the fear of dropping it and messing up the blue anodization or damaging the carbon fiber scales, or losing it and being out a knife that costs 300 to replace.
