This is a really good generator, wish I got it for this price. I am able to run my entire house with it, including electric hot water heater, furnace, etc. One pro-tip, only run 'clear' gasoline (ethanol free). I've had mine for 1.5 years and am very happy with it.
I would jump on this at this price if it were dual-fuel as I would rather use propane tanks as the fuel will never go bad like gas and I can leave it hooked up. I know propane is not as energy dense but willing to trade some energy for long term storage of fuel.
I bought a dual fuel Champion for that same reason, only I've never actually used propane in it. I've found that it's easier to keep 2-3 cans of gas on hand for 2-3 months. If I don't use them for the generator, I'll put the gas in our vehicles and refill the 2-3 cans. Gas never goes bad, I always have some on hand for the generator or vehicles as needed, and I don't have to deal with the power loss of using propane.

Thanks for the comment. I just grabbed and will have a transfer switch installed. running the essentials is all i care about incase power gets knocked out for a long while. Looks like a beast and the remote start sounds like a pretty cool option to have!

Since these things are so heavy and cumbersome, what plan do you guys have to deploy this thing in an emergency. For example, in my situation, I would use it at my rental house in TN during ice storms, etc., but I'm trying to think of the best way to have a guest start it and hook it up. If it's outside, will gas freeze? Best storage location when not in use but still accessible? Just curious what you guys are doing . . .

I will store in garage. when chance of poweroutage i will wheel it out to side of house where connector is installed and have it on standby. if power is already out i will plug it in and switch over to power the house. If you are looking for an auto solution probably better off getting a permanent generac system.

I have this one in dual fuel. Amazing. Carried me through a power outage running while home.

Your other problem is that they really should be started and run once a month. You know, to make sure it's working when you need it.

Keep a path cleared to the hook up spot on the house. Otherwise when really bad weather is coming in just set up a fold out table over top of this thing with a tarp on it. To get snow off the table just pull off the tarp then reset it back on top. If power goes out, start'er up.

tiny note: I don't have this generator, but do have a similar sized one. Waiting on a deal for the wgen12000 to be a thing and gonna hop on that if it ever happens.

My smaller Westinghouse generator (8700w) still runs like brand new after 10yrs. Keep in mind that if you're using this during a storm you'll want to get a rain cover or enclosure of some sort. The igan ones on Amazon are great as you can leave it on for storage too, unlike the tall tent-style ones. Harbor freight power cords are a good deal too.

Can you store ot with gas and oil for a period of time? Or is it best to store it without either of the two?

Keep full cans of gas, minimal air in gas, and add stabil, good for a year, a solid year in storage
