If code doesn't work for you, perhaps it's because the key has already been identified and the code used for it?
I was able to redeem the code without giving any personal information, and made me wonder if you can just use the code as much as you want, but didn't try. I just figured the above.

You can. They don't know who you are. I just got two keys back to back. Just wait for the machine to go back to the "welcome" screen and go again.

You seem to be speculating what I was thinking: the machine might remember scans of past keys and won't let you make a second copy of the same key for free. In a prior post someone said the machine says it doesn't remember key scans but I saw no such info on Walmart machines which only do big keys. Like most things the details of how things work internally in a Minute Key machine are unknown. I didn't feel like a long drive to the nearest Lowe's to get some free small keys made, especially in cold/wet weather when people are out in droves. Let's hope they do this again in 2023 when everyone isn't last minute holiday shopping except for me just trying to get some keys.

From my limited experience it appears there are no precautions or limits to prevent the same person from making lots of free keys at the same machine. That's why I'm so shocked it lasted this long. The only explanation I can come up with is most people are too preoccupied with the holidays.

It might be because this thread is marked as expired. If this thread had the visibility it should, they probably would've caught it by now.

...And can now confirm the key from the kiosk doesn't work in my door.
