The are good for the price but no noise cancelling on the headphones. I believe it's the microphone that has nc.

Exactly my thoughts. There is no noise canceling at all. Noise canceling requires at least 2 microphones. It's impossible to cancel noise without power.

What they mean is that the microphone won't pick up a lot of noise because they turned the gain down and it's right next to your mouth.

Very good barebones headset, especially for kids or those who don't need/want to spend much on a headset. Obviously not to be compared to high-end, 7.1 surround types, but it gets the job done.

In for 2. My kids have gone through so many "five below" headsets because of cheap wiring. Hoping for a bit more durability with hyperx.
