I think I know why some people are not getting it. Paypal/Honey essentially shadow ban accounts from earning rewards. I was shadow banned from honey rewards for reaching out on a Sasmung offer I saw for a Tab S8 ($100 offer) and they essentially ghosted me and now I can't earn any rewards. It happens to a ton of people (check their twitter replies). They also pretend to look into the issue if you contact them then block you on social media. They are pretty shady tbh.
Great deal, thanks! I saved offer in PayPal app, reloaded $10 in starbucks app using PayPal as payment, got 500 PayPal reward points instantly, redeemed for $5 cash in paypal.
I did the deal about an hour ago and still no points in my account.

Got charged $5 on card instead of getting back as points.
Same here. I went looking for the points but did not see them added to my account. Then I checked my transaction and saw I was only charged five dollars. I am wondering if that five dollars from a previous promotion that I never got around to using. 🤷 ā™‚ļø

For others not able to see the offer- Tryer pasting the link into an alternate browser!

I wasn't able to see the deal before or after logging in when using Chrome. I copied the link into Safari, and it showed up right away. I clicked on "Log in to Clip" within the deal then was able to log in and save to my account. When I returned to Chrome, I could see it saved... clicked through the link and completed the transaction in Chrome, but points have not been added after ~10 minutes... we'll see if it works

No points here either, started a chat with PPCS, but they are giving me the run around of "points may be pending for 1-14 days", such BS.

FYI, after the furor calmed down in early October, PayPal put the wording right back into their TOS.

https://www.crowdfundinsider.com/...se-policy/

While doing business with someone because of what the backlash might be IF they do a thing may be okay for some - I'm assuming based on your comment that you're one of those - I try to judge based on actual actions. The 2500 penalty for misinformation is there, black and white. PayPal has done this. Whether you or I or others view this as acceptable and want to do business with them, well, that's an individual's choice.
I am not disputing whether or not they have it in their terms. I am saying that they will never actually follow through on it. They could write into their terms that they can punch their customers in the face whenever they want to, but they would never actually follow through on that. It would be the death of their company because it would open them up to litigation, not to mention nonstop negative press and implosion of their stock price. The chance that you get victimized by their $2,500 policy which is just a troll is 0%. The chance that you immediately benefit from this Starbucks deal is 100%. I guess if you don't want free money someone else will take it.
