I think I know why some people are not getting it. Paypal/Honey essentially shadow ban accounts from earning rewards. I was shadow banned from honey rewards for reaching out on a Sasmung offer I saw for a Tab S8 ($100 offer) and they essentially ghosted me and now I can't earn any rewards. It happens to a ton of people (check their twitter replies). They also pretend to look into the issue if you contact them then block you on social media. They are pretty shady tbh.
Great deal, thanks! I saved offer in PayPal app, reloaded $10 in starbucks app using PayPal as payment, got 500 PayPal reward points instantly, redeemed for $5 cash in paypal.
I did the deal about an hour ago and still no points in my account.

I tried loading it without a click the "shop now" button on the app, but no 500 on PayPal rewards. I called later to Starbucks for a refund; use "shop now" on the website, and there's no 500 on PayPal rewards too. Now tell me, which part did I wrong

The moment PayPal tried to do that there would be a class action lawsuit. They never have and never will be charging anyone $2,500 for misinformation.
FYI, after the furor calmed down in early October, PayPal put the wording right back into their TOS.

https://www.crowdfundinsider.com/...se-policy/

While doing business with someone because of what the backlash might be IF they do a thing may be okay for some - I'm assuming based on your comment that you're one of those - I try to judge based on actual actions. The 2500 penalty for misinformation is there, black and white. PayPal has done this. Whether you or I or others view this as acceptable and want to do business with them, well, that's an individual's choice.

Is the deal dead? Searched Starbucks and see no deal or discount. Seems for select accounts.
People are buying cards assuming the discount is automatic

Same here. A few hours, in fact. Odd since others are getting it right away.

Same here. I went looking for the points but did not see them added to my account. Then I checked my transaction and saw I was only charged five dollars. I am wondering if that five dollars from a previous promotion that I never got around to using. 🤷 ♂️

Don't log in until AFTER you click on the deal. Logout of PayPal. Click on the link in the deal description. Find the offer. Click on it. Then click the button on the deal that says log in to save deal.
That doesn't seem to work either. This is a YMMV not a slickdeal. I think it's only for select accounts.

Is that a typo? We do need to sign in to save the deal. Anyways, it didn't work for me.
