I think I know why some people are not getting it. Paypal/Honey essentially shadow ban accounts from earning rewards. I was shadow banned from honey rewards for reaching out on a Sasmung offer I saw for a Tab S8 ($100 offer) and they essentially ghosted me and now I can't earn any rewards. It happens to a ton of people (check their twitter replies). They also pretend to look into the issue if you contact them then block you on social media. They are pretty shady tbh.

I did both this and the paypal googleplay 10$ both didn't get shit but also not worth wasting 30min to call so will probably never do paypal deals again unless it shows in checkout

Eh. I remember the fiasco from the PP: Target deal a few months ago. The promotion showed up during checkout for me but my CC was charged full price. I even got the email from PP telling me I used an offer yet I was actually charged 2x (discounted amount first, then the full price afterwards). Unfortunately, a few days later only the full charge remained and the discounted charge fell off. A lot of other people had the same issue. There's a whole thread about it on SD.

So, even if the promo shows up during checkout, check your CC statement because they've done some hinky shit in the past.

Edit to add: the whole point of my post was that I agree with you about this new process being extra and not worth the aggravation but even if it shows up in checkout I'm keeping an eye out on my credit card statement.

I bought my $10 gift card at 4 PM EST on 12/23 and still haven't got the points and was charged $10 ☹️ will try chatting customer support tomorrow. Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone!
