tplink has been adding trash to their phone app (which is needed to configure the router). They took away the ability to limit internet access to clients and moved it into a "pro" paid subscription, among other features we used to have included.

Don't buy a router right now, wifi 7 is being rolled out in the next 3 months. Ces product announcements are ongoing.

Once it's in shelves, all the wifi 6 and 6e products will be heavily discounted. Wifi 7 is 3x throughput of 6e.

Hold the line and you'll save way more when they clear out 6 and 6e

I bought the netgear SKX80 deal for around the same price recently. One base one satellite. I can ALMOST hit my whole house with just the base. Would this be more powerful as one device? If so I am wondering if I can reposition this to try to get it located more centrally and not have to use a mesh anything.

My fios install is in the far end of the basement. I think I could maybe use twist ties to run Ethernet along the ceiling and move the router a little more central….

Honestly it can cover a 4000 sq. ft. when centered, but will have speed drop off around the edges.

Best router I've had. My house is 2000 sq ft and it covers 360 with no drop in speed. I previously had Google mesh and returned it for this one. Best decision!

I purchased mine in store on 12/08 when it was $251.99 - 15% router coupon. I talked to chat today to get a price adjustment and it took some time due to their slow responses but I got the difference refunded.
