Some of the rebates mentioned in the link are valid till Jan 3. So the above price is achievable if you take delivery between Jan 1 and Jan 3. Please post any responses that you receive from your local dealers here. At 18k this is a screaming deal. Hope folks are able to pull this off.

Unless they've made changes to the way this thing charges, you might want to opt for the fast charging option. We had a 2019 model and it was painfully slow to charge without it -- I think it was 4 miles/hour of charge. This coupled with the infamous battery recalls made me glad we got rid of it.

DC fast charging is standard now on every bolt

You must have been charging off a standard 120 volt outlet. No electric vehicle is going to charge fast on the limitations of a standard 120 volt outlet.

A standard 240 volt home charger should do about 26 miles per hour of charge. You can get faster 80 amp chargers as well.

I don't have a Bolt, but these numbers are straight from Chevy.

Stop charging on a 120v, that's where your 4 mile/hr comes from. You can charge up to 55kW with DC charge.

You had an electric car and didn't think how to upgrade to a 240V over charging through a 15amp to make life easier? This has fake news all over the comment.

I've done extensive research the lastr few days... The Bolt EV will only get 3750 in federal rebates and thats only after 1/1 and thats only if you have that much tax liability...

Still, its a great deal...

As for charging speed... This is true...

Misleading title, this requires a tax liability of $7500 or more that you get after you file and is not POS. Also max income of $150-300k for single/married filers to qualify. Also the$7500 is an assumption most articles I've read about this say "MAY qualify for$7500" not guaranteed.

A few things to point out to folks:

- If your federal tax liability doesn't exceed $7500 (not a problem for most of us), you won't get the full credit.

- You will be charged sales tax on the full purchase price in most states.

- The math looks like this for the lowest cost Bolt EV in my area: $28,750 * 7.25% sales tax = $30,834 - $7,500 tax credit (if your federal tax liability > $7,500) = $23,334 out of pocket (not including any "dealer doc fees" and title fees imposed by the dealer).

- The $7,500 won't be realized until you do your tax returns in 2024 (although I suppose you could compensate by changing withholdings).

Sorry, is there a income limit for the $7500 credit? Also, what's the dealer part here? I mean you just need to find a dealer that can give you the car between Jan 1st and 3rd. Is that it?
