I'm a longtime Nova Launcher Prime patron, and still use it on my S22 Ultra. They were acquired by the analytics company Branch earlier this year. Just wondering how much development will go into product improvement going forward and how much data they intend to collect about their users.

Dont buy this, its a trap. Nova sold to an analytics company. They want to data harvest you, launchers are very valuable and get a ton of info from you.
Use something like Pear Launcher instead that doesnt spy on you.
ALWAYS read up on app permissions and privacy policies before you install.

From searching SD, it looks like this has gone on sale for $1 every year in December.

Now, after being acquired by a data analytics company, it goes on sale for 50 cents.

Kinda makes a fella wonder.

I'd be curious to know what kind of data they have access to as a launcher. I tried searching at some point but couldn't find any good write ups.

Every time I see this pop up here I get excited for a moment before I realize I've owned it for the better part of a decade. If I somehow lost my account it'd be the first thing I'd re-buy even at regular price.

Was my go-to for many years but switched to Niagara launcher and will never go back. It has loads of customizability and much more sleek.

Been using this forever and the ability to back-up an import layouts so that when moving to a new phone it's just a matter of importing the layout and all your folders and groups are right where you left them.

Not only that, but it leaves a placeholder icon for apps which are not installed. After restoring a Nova backup, you'll know right away if there are any apps you need to install on your new phone (or after a factory reset).

My whole family benefited from this. Good investment if you don't have Android 13. Personally I haven't felt the need for this with new android.

I have been using this for past 7+? years only to forget i ever had this because I never had any issues. The only time I remember i had this is when I switch to a new phone and realize I hate the vanilla app and download this the next instant. I love this app. Paid for it back then and worth it.

Nova has been a staple in my Samsung phones for years. Heard more than once sold out to a data company and first time hearing anything negative. who knows the real details?
