I have a 2TB one I bought on Amazon not too long ago, works well enough in my PS5.

With those read/write speeds I would think it would run and need a heat sink. Can anyone confirm how hot thing runs?

Not everyone needs a heatsink, those of us who run these NVMe's inside a Hyper card which has its own heatsink and fan, e.g. https://www.asus.com/us/motherboa...en-4-card/

Also, some newer motherboards provide their own heatsink in the NVMe slots on-board.

But yes, if you want to keep your drive alive, and have top performance, it needs to be cooled, no question about that...

What's good about this comparing to Samsung? I think most of nvmes use memory from samsung or hynix.

No-name drive for 50% over the going rate for a 2TB NVMe drive? Yeah right.
Uhhh tell me you don't know SSDs without telling me you don't know.

This company was a joint venture between Sony and Phison for the PS5. Phison makes controllers for some of the fastest commercial NVME SSDs out there. It also comes with a 5 year warranty. At least Google and look for reviews before giving such an uninformed comment

Definitely looks geared for PS5 users that want the size/performance capabilities (e.g. Sony/Phison)

Should be a great drive if that's what you need. Definitely priced competitively to challenge Hynix Gold P31s and Samsung Pro 980s.

How is this a good deal? Samsung Pro & WD Black SN850 with heatsinks have been on sale for around this price recently, actually established brands.
Because this is faster than both of those drives you mention and Nexstorage is an established brand. Just not in USA. Just because you are ignorant of SSD doesn't mean this is a bad deal.

That was a weak comeback. What am I shilling for exactly? A company in Japan? ROFL
