Best giveaway so far from Epic! I knew they would save the best ones later.
This is the Director's Edition, which is much better than the regular version available on the Xbox Game Pass. I'm glad I waited until now to play this game as I didn't want to play the original version.

I'm guessing whatever Epic did to spin up extra server capacity broke the sale/promo. I'm sure some Epic employee's Christmas day is trashed as they stomp out this fire. I have faith that the price will get corrected.

Same thing happened when GTA V dropped as free sometime back as well. It's common when it's a more well-known game that goes free for a limited period of time.

Epic games store sucks and blows. No social features, no community behind it, just a blatent and lazy cash grab attempt to steal Steams market share behind the promise of giving developers a little more money.

Epic Games went downhill ever since Fortnite.
