This is the Director's Edition, which is much better than the regular version available on the Xbox Game Pass. I'm glad I waited until now to play this game as I didn't want to play the original version.

I had to login and use the web site to finally get this in each family member's account. Normally I would've just waited until tonight to get this, but Epic is so wishy-washy I figure they might take away the base game at any moment, so I felt I had to hurry.
When a company that gives away meh games most of the time suddenly gives away something good, you have to jump on it figuring its' a mistake. Sort of like when Adorama has a really good deal, you know it's a price mistake they won't honor.
Does anyone know what the "Remember device?" option does after you enter your 2FA code to log in? I'm assuming it puts a cookie in your browser which you can easily delete rather than stores a browser fingerprint ID (which can change over time) in your Epic account.
As others have said, use the web site instead of the client and keep refreshing.
You said it, epic screwup. Never had trouble getting any other title, but suddenly today we do at the beginning of the giveaway. It's because they put the director's cut out there and then either pulled it back due to it being a mistake or because they were told it would cost them X amount of subsidy to give away the director's cut. They had the pull store server down due to preventing any further claiming of the directors cut. They have tens of millions of users, the servers don't just crash because of a little demand.
I also forgot to mention for those not seeing "In Library" after you get it that you can go into your Account and see if it shows up in the Transactions.
