This is the Director's Edition, which is much better than the regular version available on the Xbox Game Pass. I'm glad I waited until now to play this game as I didn't want to play the original version.

When I looped around to check the sale this afternoon, the base game was showing as Unavailable. Look around and saw tweets saying they were giving the DC, but obviously Epic was trying to unfornicate the mess the Christmas intern made.
I've been playing the Game Pass version and I'm lukewarm on it. Didn't they fix up some QoL issues with the DC to make it less grindy and more fun?
Does anyone know if I can pay the $6 to upgrade my free Standard Edition to the Director's Cut, and then 'loop back around' and pick up the Standard Edition for free again?

If you want the Steam version you'll have to buy the base game on Steam as well.
