The blade coating works well and is sharp, but the plastic is garbage. They will crack and fall apart if you do anything with them besides cut paper in an office.
I bought 8 pairs of the 8" scissors 2 years ago and they are all either in pieces or the handles are cracked waiting to finally split. They do this because their plastic isn't fiberglass reinforced. They don't fiberglass reinforce the scissors because this wears out the molds faster. They save money on molds, and then they dump the garbage end product on gullible deal seekers. It's a real shame because the titanium bonding on the blades really works well.
If you want plastic scissors that have fiberglass reinforcement, look to Fiskars. If you want to buy scissors that will last the rest of your life and then some, look at the Klein Heritage scissors.
Don't fall for the low price.

Love these scissors. Have bought a ton of them. Usually I hop on these deals but we have like 20 of these things now and my wife gives them out to friends.
These are pretty good scissors that last forever for the price. But lets be honest, who really needs more than one?
They need to be sharpened or replaced after some time. I have a 4" and an 8" scissor in this line. The 8" gets hard use from the family. The 4" is in my go kit and generally makes a few small cuts per week. The difference in sharpness was so apparent wrapping gifts this year.
At this price, it's cheaper to replace scissors than have them sharpened.

I have 6 pairs of these scissors and never had a problem. I have had them since before the pandemic.
It would be nonsense to glass reinforce handles on scissors, they are plenty strong enough. What on god's earth are you cutting with these? Sheet metal? Steel cable?
Seriously though these are great scissors and what you are saying about glass reinforcement, molds and plastic are nonsense other than, yes, glass reinforcement is more expensive and definitely not something you would ever see on a product like this as it isn't sensible or necessary.
We also own a lot of fiskars scissors which are also nice.
Where do I find fiskars scissors with fiberglass reinforcement I have never seen such a thing and am interested to see it.

Just stuff around the house. Paper, thin cardboard, wrapping paper, bags, clamshell packaged products. Just basic scissor stuff. I rinse off in the sink occasionally if they get dirty, but never left to soak or get wet long term.
You are not a wise person to be so dismissive of others experiences. If you look through previous deal posts, you'll notice that many people have them break.
I've gone through perhaps a dozen pairs of Westcotts over the past dozen years or so. I am done with this disposable brand.

I apologize for being harsh. However I am dismissive on anecdotes. I have a counter anecdote and have many of these scissors at home and at the office (where they get abused badly).
That said I am more curious about the glass reinforced assertions and what fiskars scissors have glass reinforced plastic in the handles as I had not seen anything like that before.

Then I apologize if I'm being to harsh. I'm trying to spare others a lesson in buying cheap garbage.
I have red handled fiskars in 8" length. Not the shiny ones but with the matte textured surface. It is clear from an edge that's been scuffed that there are reinforcement fibers in the plastic. I also have a pair of DuraSharp Cutworks (stamped "Made in USA" but don't know if they still are) scissors with blue handles that have floated around my house for 20 years, I can see on the roughened mold lines that there air hairs in the plastic. It is also clear from the shiny broken gray plastic on the Westcotts that there is not any detectable reinforcement added in the plastic in the form of short strand fiberglass or other textile.
Look closely. See the cracks in the two that are still cutting? That's how it starts. then one day you go to cut a package and they just fall apart.
