Been waiting several months for another great deal on the 1 year Tracfone refill card but it seems like Verizon just keeps disappointing their customers. I have been checking many places but Ebay still seems to offer the best deals: 1200/1200/3GB for $60 thru Tracfone ( 50% off the $125 price direct from Tracfone). But this still is far from the old $29 and $39 price before the takeover. But even at $60 it still beats all other providers for those of us who can control our data appetites. I have refilled many times with these Tracfone refill cards sold on Ebay and they have always worked. Never lost my carryover, just be sure to take a snapshot of what you have saved before refilling.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/285059189550

I was able to access the site to unlock smartphones from all Tracfone subsidiaries:
https://www.tfwunlockpolicy.com/w...BIS9nQSEh/
My service runs out Jan.14th 2023 and I wanted to get this done before adding a new service plan. It was a simple process, you provide your #, name, email, and IMEI, and they immediately email you 2 unlock codes - They are like 15 digits so type them correctly, hit submit, and it takes 20-30 secs. to be processed, and the page displays a Unlock Successful notice.

Just got to ask, What is the $3/month Ultra plan? I assume Ultramobile but not aware of that plan. Perhaps it is a yearly advertised on ebay or somewhere else?
Yes, Ultra mobile. It's 100min, 100texts, 100MB for $3/month: https://www.ultramobile.com/paygo/

You get less than with the yearly ebay plans, but you can set it and forget it. No need to remember to renew once a year, or worry that the eBay deals will go away.

I'm leaning towards the Red Pocket deals myself.

i have a couple of those cheap $20 flip phones too.

so i purchased a tracfone moto g pure (XT2163DL) a couple of months back. this should be a new verizon-sim phone and I should be able to activate it with its time/data and transfer in the old non-verizon phone number/time/data at the same time, right?
Like I said a few posts ago, activate new sim (new phone) and choose keep current number. Old balance will combine on new phone with everything totaled.
Doesn't matter if current service is TF ATT or TF T-Mo, just takes a little longer (mine took several hours) for number to switch to Verizon service. Recommend waiting till a weekday to do it.

I am still confused.
I need a step by step.
You guys who do this know, but you skip the steps when describing what you do.
Sigh.

basically you get a new phone with time and when you activate it you keep your current-old number when you activate the new phone. this will combine the new time with the current time of the old phone for the new phone. the old phone will no longer work.

Yeah, but this is a SIM card only.
I have to spend $20 for a new phone, right?
I actually have to spend $60 + $20 = $80 , right?

yes, we were talking about going ahead and getting a new verizon 'free' phone with a phone-time deal. this way you get a new verizon phone to update your old tracfone tmo/att sim that will be ending soon. the sim-only deal like here people have experienced getting an empty-time sim card.

Totally confused with what you just wrote.
You lost me.

What Verizon 'free' phone with phone-time deal are you talking about?

You can always find cheap TF with bundled service - HSN, QVC, or the Tracfone store on eBay frequently have deals

Good advice just above. Also, do it through chat so you can confirm what's going on as it is happening. I've had minor problems here and there over the years, all were easily resolved, and have never lost on any kind of attempted TF deal. Just the opposite in fact - I've ended up with more than I should have had, more than once.

Those already come with the 1 year service and I have used them to transfer my # to them, so I am not seeing the advantage of this deal.

like oregon14 says above you have to wait for a phone-time deal.

I don't see the advantage of this versus moving my # to the phone-time deal.

with a phone-time deal you get a new phone i.e. 5g at a reduced cost.

the time only deal (no included phone) people have experienced empty sim cards that were supposed to time on them.

Like I wrote above, I have bought those phones and taken my # over to them. So I get more minutes and data on a new phone with my current #.

Explain what is difference doing this way? What is the advantage?
