If you live close enough to the parks the events are great, i got to ride the guardians of the galaxy roller coaster before it opened to the public. It was a D23 event for $45 a person included parking, park access after 4 PM, and a 20$ gift card for meals. I took my son and we rode the coaster 6 times got a few other rides in and got VIP area for the harmonic fireworks show, So for me it was worth it, waiting for the TRON preview event.

If this isn't sarcasm, you can probably buy a few $4.99 digital movies on Vudu, Prime, Itunes, etc. I forget how much you get, but I think it's about 150-250 per movie. I seem to recall older HD movies getting 150, and 4K movies getting about 200 or 250.

The Gold Duo Plan seems to normally cost $129.99, so up to you to think if it's worth buying some digital movies to make up the difference.
