Pricing is currently normal TurboTax + $10. This should drop when the deal goes live on 12/28. Don't bother trying to buy it early.

There are no referral links, they are Amazon Smile links.

Yes it's being delayed a year, there's an article abt it at irs.gov. However, it was only ever a reporting change; you've always owed taxes on PayPal/Venmo/etc business income whether it was $20K, $600, or $10. You owe the same taxes you've always owed, it'll just be a lot harder to cheat now (2023 tax year with delay)

Can we use just Federal version to file NY return alongside the Federal? NY you don't have to pay to efile as with previous years. So usually the added cost is waived because I'm in NY. Just seeing if you don't need to spend the extra money.
If you don't get the state module you can't efile NY state via TT.

Wish every state would follow NY's lead and make efile free a law.

You should consider yourself lucky you get to save the $25 state efile fee.

Weird, at first it was telling me the quantity of 1 was unavailable and reduced the quantity back to 1. Could not use buy it now.

If I added to the cart and then checked out it worked correctly.

TurboTax Premier 2022 Federal E-File + State Download, for PC/Mac, Includes $10 Credit in Product*
So, if you have a state eFile fee, you'd get a $10 credit toward that..making it the same as Amazon when you get the $10 Amazon gift card.
You can just print out your state return and mail it in and it will cost you around $2 - $3 in postage fees. That is a lot cheaper than the $25 that turbotax charges for state e-file. So the $10 credit is worthless to most people.

Same thing happened to me. I got it to work after removing from Cart and re-adding it. At the checkout page it I clicked on the Jan 3rd delivery option and it came up as free.
Doesn't work for me. No matter what I do it still tacks on the $7.05 shipping & handling. I tried adding and deleting the disk version (which is what I want) and then the download version, one at a time. The only option I get for free shipping is to sign up for Prime which I'm not gonna do. At this point it looks like the Costco offer is better for me. Unless a better deal comes along later. Disappointing. I've been getting the Amazon deal for several years now . . .

I have non-basic tax situations and I have been fine with Deluxe for the last three or four years. I used to buy Premier because I thought I needed it. I don't. This includes stock sales, taxable and nontaxable interest and dividends, itemizing deductions, Inherited IRA withdrawals and HSAs.
Wow I always get premier mostly for buying and selling stock etc sounds like deluxe does work. Do they ask you the question (make it easy) or do you need to manually fill the forms?

I am planning to file for my fiancé as well as myself. Will I be able to do both using one copy of the Deluxe version (federal and state)? Or will the state be "used" after completing the first set of taxes? It's confusing since the description says that only one state is included.

Since a key can be used 5 times, do all of the 5 filings allow 1 state each? Or is it one state across all 5 filings? I understand I will have to pay $25 x2 to e-file both
Yes - you can use a single installation to file 5 completely separate returns (fed and state)

Or you can install 5 times and each one can file one fed and one state (and the state does not have to be the same, each install can download/install a different state)

Looks to be a worse deal than last year.

Last year I bought deluxe (federal only) on December 29th for $20
This year it is now $27 after the gift card.

Deluxe guides you for all these topics.

Also the financial import feature usually makes most of it completely automatic.

Deluxe does not just "display the form" and make you fill it out, it walks you through the topics.

Can't use a gift card to pay for the bundle since it includes a gift card. That sucks.

Deluxe may have all the same forms as Premier, but do you get the step-by-step interview questions for those topics? If Deluxe only provides "Form Mode" for advanced topics, then that's a pretty big downgrade.
For me, I have used the Deluxe version to handle stock trades, Inherited IRA Distributions and Roth IRA Contributions. All of it was handled for me via direct import from my online brokerage, Fidelity. There are a few step-by-step questions, but most of it is handled via the import.

It doesnt seem like you can use your digital credits towards this.

With the non-giftcard link, you can use digital credits:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BH5MZ7VT/

So if you have a lot digital credits you arent using, it might be better to skip the giftcard deal.
Thanks, ended up getting this instead since I have $21 in credits I don't use for anything

Looks like prices went up from last year. I remembered I bought the Premier for $45 last year and this year is $65

FYI - This price is $21 more than I paid for Home & Business on December 29, 2021. $75.99 vs $54.98 with $10 Amazon gift card included. Inflation, or better deals yet to come?
